We are very excited to announce our inaugural affiliation is with Subiaco Junior Football Club! Australian Rules football is a high paced and highly skilful sport and always exciting to watch and play. The AFL does a wonderful job of introducing the sport to kids via the AFL Auskick program, however once out of Auskick, where the majority of time is spent developing the basic skills, players train in large teams and most work is done on team cohesion. Many of the junior teams have volunteer amateur coaches, who do a wonderful job with great passion but unfortunately don’t always have time or expertise to cater to the individuals needs.

Footy Excellence is looking to fill that coaching void, by providing quality, experienced coaches taking small groups of players and individual tuition. Our background is via our affiliated company Tennis Excellence, which is the largest tennis coaching network in WA. Having developed programs for the past 10 years in a highly skilled sport like tennis, we see the need for junior footy players to be given the same opportunity to develop their technical skills outside of their team training.

After running a successful coaching business for a decade, it has become apparent that quality of staff plays a huge part in the success of the programs and the enjoyment and development of the players. Coaching is all about communication and we believe our coaches all have the capacity to analyse and correct flaws in technique, build on current skills and make them adaptable in the open environment as well as sustaining the enjoyment and dynamic nature of the sport.

Our staff include

As parents of boys who have participated in the Auskick program we have seen their skills build and their understanding of the game thrive. Here at Footy Excellence we look forward to carrying that skill based learning forward to all junior footy athletes and taking them onward toward junior development squads and beyond.

Welcome to Footy Excellence, a new level of footy coaching, we look forward to meeting you all.
